Updating Payment Info:
Customers sometimes will need to update their payment. This can range from Changing the card file, or Updating their billing address. So in this article, we are going to give a breakdown of how we can assist them with this simple yet complex task.
To Begin we will need to make sure that you are indeed on our website. After this, we will need to make sure you are logged into your account. This can be done by verifying if it displays your name in the top right box. If so you will need to click on your name to access your account page.
It should bring up this page displayed below. (Note your account will look different as you will have actual orders.)
You will then need to click the tab marked "Payment Methods" (NOTE THAT IF THE CUSTOMER IS ON A PHONE AND CAN NOT SEE IT, HAVE THEM HOLD THE PHONE SIDEWAYS SO THAT ALL TABS BECOME VISIBLE)
This will bring up your payment methods tab which will look like so:
This tab will display all payment methods whether they be inactive or active that the customer as added (Unless deleted). From here you will need to click the "Add Payment Method" to add your new way to pay.
Clicking the button will bring up this prompt window, in which you will be asked to add your new card.
After adding the payment method, you will need to set the new one to their default payment method which can be done by clicking this button:
This is where most customers stop, thinking they are good to go, but beware this will cause issues down the road as when their renewal attempts to go through; even though the new card is set as default it will attempt to charge the other one and in doing so the payment will fail. So to correct this we will need to change the card that will be charged for the subscription. To do so you will need to click the subscription tab which is also found on your account page.
After clicking on this tab you will need to click the corresponding subscription and click the button that will say "CHANGE CARD". (NOTE that the picture above does not display any subscriptions as this is not an actual account)
